First Round Logo Designs

LogoDev1

Visually, the aim of the identity is to appear slightly detached from the content. I want the logo to be somewhat ambiguous — playfully neutral — and hardly distinguished from a design one might expect from companies manufacturing pharmaceuticals or light-globes. The logo that I have identified doesn’t say all that much about the ‘client’, and isn’t supposed to. It does however give a few clues about Madison Ave.

The alternate ideas all had a few issues associated with them (the first one is a bit cliche, the second one doesnt scale well), but have included them here for good measure.

Also, to give you an idea about the graphic vibe that this will fit into, I have included the poster from the first pitch of the project here. The visual identity aspect of this project is slight, but it should set the tone for things to come, so any feedback would really be appreciated!

Thanks in advance.

Brief Online & Welcome

I have started this blog to keep a record of my progress throughout the development of my final year design project, titled ‘Madison Avenue’. I would greatly appreciate any feedback and criticism over the course of the project — whether it be in regards to content, design, concept discussion, taking cheap shots at me, etc.

The project is largely self-directed and I have posted the brief that I have written for the project here (or click the tab at the top of the page).

Be harsh and thanks in advance,

Dan Flanagan
