First round of prints just arrived!
Indulged a bit, printed on 310GSM artboard with double sided matte celloglaze. Very pleased with them though, printers did an impeccable job. The foil stickers that have the web-address (use-more.com) are still to go to press however, so can’t do much with these prints at the moment. Not that I’m ready to..
Also, still developing the product guide—in the final phases now (only have a few photo’s to do and contents page before I get stuck into finer details).
Yet to get any really critical feedback on the layout, so if anyone has any, please post. Here is where I’m at at the moment:

Just a reminder that there is a full PDF version (plenty more spreads..) online at http://danflan.com.au/files/theconsumer.pdf
Particularly keen on some response to the move away from full colour?
Dan

Done plenty more work tightening up the layout of the product guide—still plenty of room for improvement! It is starting to get the instruction manual look to it that I’m going for though..
I’m keeping an online development version of the full PDF booklet as up to date as I can,
Feedback, criticism, ideas, etc. welcome as always
Dan

Been working on the product guide for The Consumer™—a main focus of this project,
It’s about a third of the way through in terms of content at the moment, would love some feedback/suggestions/critique on the layout so far. I’ve uploaded a low-res PDF version for download here.
I have also posted other parts of my development on Typophile here.

Been putting together some files for the printer over the last few days.
Above is the front and back of a DL sized flyer that I’ll be sending to print at the start of next week. The white circle with the web address is going to be a 25mm dia. silver foil sticker (which will then have to be hand applied).
I’m also searching for ideas for implementation—I want to run a guerrilla campaign, but so far all my ideas have run into legal problems.. Any campaigns that I run can (and should) be subversive, taking actions further than ad agencies would normally be prepared to go, any ideas would be most welcome!
As always, feedback, criticisms, ideas, etc. would be much appreciated
Dan

Sorry for the lack of updates over the last week, I’ve been busy organising a photo shoot for this project. I’ve hired a family of mannequins and taken them into a studio space to take a few shots (my first time—great fun!). They have turned out very nice and I’ll post them up in the coming days. Until then, above is a taster of my results.
These two are my Consumers™ — the product of Madison Avenue
I have also finished making packaged desires (like the ones in the post below), as I get some nice shots of these done I’ll get them posted up.
Please post any criticisms, suggestions, ideas, etc.
Thanks
Dan
